Cosmic Vision

The campaigns for my retro-futuristic and vintage sci-fi inspired clothing brand, Cosmic Vision.

I created these campaigns from concept to execution, including the concepts, content, and clothing as well. This is the work I am most proud of as it is my vision and creativity personified.

Eye in the Sky - New York

This photoshoot is a continuation of Eye in the Sky. I commissioned a photoshoot at the New York subway based on a specific concept I requested.

Eye in the Sky!

For "Eye in the Sky", we created a video with actors and a script. We created a set that was meant to look like a poker night among 4 friends. The story of the video is 4 friends that meet up to play poker to get their mind off of the breaking news of the eye appearing over the sky. Unfortunately, it is a hard subject to ignore and it turns into a debate about the origins and meaning of the eye. I was inspired by jazz and cocktail aesthetics as well as the usual Space Age elements.

Cosmic Invasion

This campaign for Cosmic Vision inspired by old science fiction films. It included two photoshoots. The first one was the "movie" photoshoot at the desert. It tells the story of a couple that see headlines of a mysterious light in the sky and decide to drive out to the desert with a telescope to investigate themselves when things take a turn for the worse. The newspaper was created for the previous campaign "Cosmic Summer" so this is continuation of the story after the headline on the newspaper.

The second photoshoot was a the drive-in photoshoot. It also included a couple wearing matching movie poster tees. It tells the story of the couple anticipating the movie "It Came From the Cosmic Unknown," which is the movie reflected in the other photoshoot. They are big fans so they got movie "merch" for the much anticipated film.

Cosmic Unknown

This campaign was meant to showcase the new collection in three different ways: casual, going out, and athletic.

The first photoshoot includes two models at a retro-futuristic gas station and diner. They showcase the two models wearing the clothes in a casual setting. The two locations were scouted to ensure they kept with the theme.

The second photoshoot includes a model wearing an item from the collection for a going out/nightlife setting. We chose a bar-cade since they had retro pinball machines that also reflected the overall theme. We also wanted to get a slight cyberpunk feel with the outside shots.

The third photoshoot was a collaboration with identical twin influencers, 2kTwinnz. We specifically wanted identical twins to give a "yin yang" feel with one twin wearing the white (or cream) tee and the other the black tee. The inspiration for the shoot was 90's basketball so we scouted a basketball court that had green concrete to complement the clothing better and resembled more of the old school streetball look.

Cosmic Summer

This campaign was inspired by the 50s beach photos but still keeping the same theme of vintage sci-fi and retro futurism. We made a newspaper that headline "mysterious light in the sky" and printed it out for the model to read. We also carefully chose each accessory like the Marlboro cigarettes, ash tray, cheeseballs, playing cards, etc. The book the model is reading is a vintage sci-fi magazine from the 60s. While the overall inspiration was the 50s, we didn't want to tie everything to that specific decade.

The campaign was to promote some accessories: a tote bag, matchbox, hat, sunglasses, and lanyard. The newspaper we made included a side that has all the products in advertisement form.
